Yesterday, I decided for Dolly's 4th birthday, I would make her a cover for her bed.  So, I went to the local fabric store, found the perfect utility fabric, bought a zipper, went home and started sewing!  This was my first time to sew in a zipper.. I think it turned out pretty good. :)

I chose a classic Ticking for its durability and feel.

Just a few pins here, and a little cut there..

I sewed each long side, leaving it only open on the bottom, where I attached the zipper.

My first zipper, and it actually zips!

Viola!

Everything looks prettier on the line..
