Today, is Dolly's 4th birthday. Of course, we don't know
exactly when her actual birthday is, because she was around 1 when we rescued her. The first birthday she celebrated with us, we threw her a little party. Cakes, presents, friends... It was a hit! Dolly is so special to us. She is the first thing that has ever truly belonged to me, and there are no words for what that experience has taught me, and is continuing to teach me. Dogs are so much like children. They need you every minute of the day. They depend on you for food, attention.. LOVE. Dolly has taught me patience, and so many other virtues..
Dolly was just a skinny, scared lady when she found us 3 years ago. It was apparent that she had never known love. I am very proud to say, that with just a little time, a lotta love and even more effort, she is ROTTEN! She is happy, she feels safe, and she never has to want for anything. ..And that is such a rewarding feeling.
Happy 4th Birthday, Dolly! ~I love you.
